So if the season finished now who would be here and who would be gone.
after today's game I can see a number of players leaving, some
departures that would shock some toon fans

Shay Given: Been at the club a long time and has been good for us may be
great, but he has made some mistakes and it looks like he has never
recovered from his injury last season. Also he never seems to talk to
the defence, telling them to clear the ball or push out. Which a
goalkeeper should be doing

Stephen Carr: plan and simple he has to go

Jose Enrique: Bought by sam and never played, played under kk a couple
of games but I think he will be leaving

David Rozehnal: Another player who has flattered to deceive. I think going.

Emre: He has to stay, he could be good for us but he needs a holding
player to get the best out of him.

Cacapa: He is so laid back it scary, but saying that he has come in and
made some good tackles when others have froze. but I would say going

Obafemi Martins: we have to keep him, we need speed and he has it. Under
Keegan he would become a good finisher in front of goal.

Michael Owen: We also have to keep him, might not have the pace but will
be there in the box 9 times out of 10.

Damien Duff: Stay, he needs a good left back behind so he can go on the
runs he used to at other clubs

Stephen Harper: Stay, he has to be given his shot in the team. Between
him and given they are too close to call. But I feel harper is better at
some things and given is better at others.

Charles N'Zogbia: He is a jem but not for the first time he (his agent)
has said the player is unhappy for personal reasons. His form has been
off this season because he's played at left back. Sell him I don't know
but I would think if we did we would ask a fair bit for him.

James Milner: Stay, with him and duff we have at least 2 good wingers or
wide men.

Alan Smith: what is his role, sell him

Geremi: sell

Habib Beye: keep, he is a good right back. lets hope we can keep him

Nicholas Butt: starting to slow, may be it's time to let him go. sell

Ameobi: Sell, sell, sell

Abdoulaye Faye: sell

Peter Ramage:keep as back up for now

Steven Taylor: keep, give him a 5 year contract and make him captain
next season

David Edgar: keep as back up

Fraser Forster: Keep as back up

Ben Tozer: back up player
Mark Viduka: Sell, will never win over kk
James Troisi: keep

Kazenga LuaLua: keep

Andrew Carroll: keep

Tim Krul: keep

so what do you guys think, who would you keep or get rid of

Rozenhal has gone on loan to Lazio and will move permanently in the summer.

part of me hopes he doesn't. he's young, was highly rated in spain, so
needs to be given time to adjust.

couldnt agree more, utter waste of space.

>Abdoulaye Faye: sell

now this one i totally disagree with. why sell Faye? he's probably
been, along with beye, the best player allardyce brought in. he's
certainly the best of the 3 centre halves he bought. i'd say he's
staying, tho maybe as backup depending if anyone was brought in during
the summer.

hmm, it's hard to say, because he's had such a bad injury. the fact of
that coupled with his contract being up in the summer (i think) may
see him move elsewhere, possibly to norwich to team back up with
roeder.

on the whole, i agree with your assessments, but at the same time i
don't think we'll see a mass exodus in the summer, purely because we
have a thin squad and i can see any players brought in being additions
to that, rather than replacements for players who have left.

that's been our problem for ages now, and i suppose it's been
accentuated by the fact that not many youngsters have been making the
step up in level.

we need a squad of at least 22-25 good first team players imo, and at
the minute we're a good 6 or 7 short of that number.

Agreed. A great shot stopper but far too quiet.
I'd be quite happy if we could swap him for Celtic's Boruc.

> Stephen Carr: plan and simple he has to go

At some time he will go but, right back isn't a priority at the moment

We definately need another left back with Enrique staying as cover for now.

He'll be on his bike come the summer for sure.

I'd keep him for cover and the young players to learn from.
We definately need an ugly, hairy arsed big bastard to scare the living
daylights out of the opposition. Someone in the Bobo Balde mould.

Swap him for Berbatov plus some cash. We'd need to replace him with a left
winger though as cover for Duff..

> James Milner: Stay, with him and duff we have at least 2 good wingers or

Agreed. We need cover for him though or even better, replace him with Wright
Philips and use Milner as cover.

> Alan Smith: what is his role, sell him

Use him, Zoggy and about 20m as bait for Berbatov.

> Geremi: sell

Agreed.

> Habib Beye: keep, he is a good right back. lets hope we can keep him

Agreed.

> Nicholas Butt: starting to slow, may be it's time to let him go. sell

Agreed. Need to replace him though especially if Geremi goes too

Stay or maybe Spurs could take him too.

I'd keep him for now.

Not good enough imo, sell.

Dunno. Never seen him play.

why do you think Spurs would want to take our rejects? That was about
6-7 years ago when the likes of Les Fedinand (and not to mention
Ginola) made their last transfers to Spurs. I hate to mention Ginoa
becasue of that scotish c%^nt who sold him to Spurs and he went on to
win the player of the year award for them. What a tosser! Right now,
they are way ahead of us interms of squad quality. If we have to flog
players, they wont be going to the likes of spurs, maybe sunderland,
wigan or Norwich but not teams above us in the league.

I was playing fantasy football. It'll be interesting to see which London
club Zoggy goes to in the summer though.

his mum and sister live in London , hence his wish to move down south.

I really hope KK manges to keep him for at least another season. But
if they have to sell then it shouldnt be to a club like Arse or Spurs.
Do a Fergie and refuse to sell to a rival team.

Thirty-five points behind Arsenal with twelve games yet to
play and you seriously consider them to be a rival?? :-]]]

thanks for reminding me of the points gap Paul- not!

By rival i meant a premier league team. Sell him to a club in France,
Spain or Italy.
Any club who stays in CL for a few years in a row, has the finacial
power to buy top players- which is why Arse are poaching all the best
players from Spain and africa.
