It doesn't get much better. The triumph. The tragedy. It can only be
the UKSF Champions League and UKSF Cup semi-final second leg.

After a week off to gird their lions (or otters) the remaining teams
in the UKSF Champions League and UKSF Cup resumed combat to determine
who will play in the glittering UKSF Champions League final and
slightly sparkly UKSF Cup final. The week's rest seemed to work well
for some teams, but not for others.......

UKSF Champions League - Semifinal, second leg
=======================================
Magic Sprouts 96 92 Dean Windass's Flood Barriers
Me Myself and I 29 128 Poleson City Rovers Town Utd

Aggregate results:
Dean Windass's Flood Barriers 167 140 Magic Sprouts
Poleson City Rovers Town Utd 170 98 Me Myself and I

A brave fightback by the Sprouts, but they'd left themselves too much
to do after the first leg. But oh woe and calamity - what happened to
Me, Myself and I?? After muscling themselves into a good position
against an out-of-sorts Poleson in the first leg they seemingly forgot
to turn up for the second. Coupled with a performance-of-the-week from
the ex-gaffer, their fate was sealed.

UKSF Cup - Semifinal, second leg
==========================
Bread On Wheels 102 51 Fat Frank's Thin Friends
Sid's Shimmering Skulls 118 71 Goalie of the Century

Aggregate results:
Fat Frank's Thin Friends 105 168 Bread On Wheels
Goalie of the Century 104 161 Sid's Shimmering Skulls

Fairly regulation wins for Bread on Wheels and Sid's boys - almost
spookily similar aggregate scores. It should be one hell of a final.
Neither team knows how to lose ....

So there we have it. The lineup for the finals to decide the first 2
titles of the Superheores season. Drunkard against fat bastard.
Enigmatic pseudo-lurker against jet-setting nice bloke. It's gonna be
awesome.

With grateful thanks to Mikey, both finals will be played at the
Digistad in Yahoo Week 25. For the avoidance of doubt this includes
the Premiership matches to be played this weekend AND the Liverpool v
West Ham game to be played the following Wednesday. No second legs, no
second chances. One match, plus a penalty shootout if required. Both
games look like they could be close ones, so they'll all be practising
their spot-kicks I suspect.

Bring it on.

[UKSF Cup] Quarter Final results As befits its status as the cup competition, the UKSF Cup provided a little less drama in the quarter finals than the UKSF Champions League. A couple of valiant comebacks that fell a little short, otherwise the formbook ruled.
