William Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, Andrew Lloyd-Webber....your boys
took one hell of a beating!! Talk about drama - the most prestigious
Cup competition in newsghey fantasy football produced it in spades.
The second leg of the quarter finals of the UKSF Champions league saw
shocks a-plenty, valiant efforts that were or weren't successful, and
gallons of otter spunk being sprayed in celebration.
So, without further ado, here are the results of the second leg of the
quarter finals of the UKSF Champions league:
Mairangi Bay Mysterons 95 74 Magic Sprouts
Tentacle Dancers United 72 70 Poleson City Rovers Town Utd
Me Myself and I 115 79 Jelly Jewellers
Dean Windass's Flood Barriers 136 57 BarryKeithskoolofexcellence
And here are the aggregate scores:
Magic Sprouts 137 136 Mairangi Bay Mysterons
* Magic Sprouts win 5-3 on penalties
My boys hauled themselves back into contention with a tremendous
second-leg effort, but the big-match experience of the Sprouts saw
them through.
Poleson City Rovers Town Utd 115 112 Tentacle Dancers United
* Poleson City Rovers Town Utd win 5-4 on penalties
After 2 tightly-fought legs it seemed inevitable that a penalty
shootout would be needed to separate Poleson and the Tentacles, and
the ex-gaffer prevailed by the narrowest of narrow margins.
Jelly Jewellers 160 177 Me Myself and I
A stunning comeback dumps Joe's boys out on their ear. A huge shock -
could it be too late for him to lose the league title also??
BarryKeithskoolofexcellence 143 205 Dean Windass's Flood Barriers
BarryKeith's boys must have thought they'd got it won after the first
leg, so they didn't turn up for the second. A gutbusting performance
sees the amply-proportioned Windass boys into the semi-finals.
So there you have it - a momentous weekend. Can it get any better than
this? Maybe, coz here comes the draw for the semifinals of the UKSF
Champions League:
Dean Windass's Flood Barriers v Magic Sprouts
Poleson City Rovers Town Utd v Me Myself and I
Matches will be played over 2 legs, witht he first leg being played
this coming weekend (9th-11th February).
