So, 2007 is nearly over and the transfer window opens in two day's time.
The 'appy 'ammers have done really well so far (massive understatement) with
a squad depleted by long term injuries and although they may have dropped a
few silly points at UP overall there are reasons to be optimistic about the
future.
So, would you like to see the club splash out on a couple of major signings
in January or keep faith in the existing squad and wait on the big names
(Bellamy, Dyer, Faubert etc) to come back from injury?
We all saw how that didn't work out last year waiting for Ashton to return
and even if the three players mentioned above are able to play again this
season there are no guarantees when that will happen or if they will have
any time to make an impact.
Assuming that Curbs decides to strengthen the team and the board back him,
who would you like to see at UP? Where do we most need to concentrate on?
Personally I would like to see a prolific "fox in the box" striker (or
Thierry Henry) but I think the biggest problem at the moment is that, all of
the other problems notwithstanding, we do not seem to create enough chances.
I mean, we had to rely on two central defenders to beat ManUre today
