10 pts out of 12 (and mere seconds away from 12 outta 12) is pretty
good given the incredible injury problems we've had. Compare it to
last Xmas, when the injury situation wasn't nearly so bad - those four
dropped points at home against Fulham and Reading probably cost us the
title. All in all, I think Avram's doing a pretty good job.

I agree.
And hopefully there will be large numbers of people with eggs galore all
over their faces by the end of the season.

I actually think the injury problems will be beneficial to us. It
effectively gives us an excuse for not winning the title, and gives
Avram some leeway. It also gives Grant and Hank Ten Cakes half a
season and a pre-season to get the team molded to their way of
playing.

yep thats true, though I've not given up on this year just yet.
If we can get Anelka and one other then we stand a decent chance of keeping
in touch with Man U right up to when our injured/suspended/globetrotting
players
return in February.

What do you make of the Anelka speculation, b? I'm very concerned
that we're being strongly linked with two players (Anelka and
Berbatov) whose attitudes are pretty shite. Berbatov is playing like
he couldn't give a monkey's, and as I've said previously, the idea of
Anelka and Drogba getting together and wreaking havoc fills me with
dread.

I think Anelka is a changed man mate. It was his brother who used to stir
things up, he seems to have settled down lately now he's a
multi-millionaire!
