Did Piennar get booked for pacing out the distance to the wall in the
first half? If he did then the ref needs shooting for that as well. The
foul was given almost on the line of the penalty area and well inside
the "D" that marks out a distance of 10 yards from the penalty spot.
Yet the wall was positioned between the penalty spot and the ball. The
referee should not even need to pace out the distance in this case as
the markings on the pitch clearly showed that the wall was nowhere near
10 yards. I despair with some of these referees

I was watching a lower league game earlier in the season and the crowd
got so pissed off with the referee moving the opposition back a few feet
instead of 10 yards that every time he took a step they counted it off.
The first time they stood about 7 yards back with the crowd howling at
the referee, the second the wall was the full 10 yards.

Why did it take the actions of the crowd to make the clown do his job
properly?
