Steven Smith has played 30 mins of a behind closed doors game against
Motherwell. Good to see he's on the mend. We won 1-0 BTW....Lennon scored.

Well thats an age old question...are they ready..I think you have to give
them a chance sooner rather than later, I have seen him play twice and he
was the best player by far on the pitch both times
Maybe a run out in a few games to blood him and see how he handles it, he
wont progress if he never gets the chance. Look at Critiano Ronaldo, he was
very young when he was playing first team football, Derek
Johnstone...youngest player ever to score a scottish cup winner, Wayne
Rooney..I used to watch him turn out for Everton when he was 16, so you
gotta give him a chance at some point.

Caught a glimp of Fleck tonight....and his wee touches looked ok...I
wonder if there is some kind of gene he's inherited being in the Fleck
family...?

An interesting point...we inherit our genes from our parents, so he must
have a bit of genes from yer man.

Actually when I think about it, I might be talking pish, no surprise
there some might say, but I've heard a discussion about family
businesses...which are passed from father to son....ability might be a
random draw....so you are no more likely than the next person to be
good at business....just cause your father made a load of cash doesn't
necessarily mean you'll be any good at business...and as with business
the same applies for football.....

One other way to look at it is would the sons of the Celtic/Rangers XI
who won European trophies make up a good side...? Probably not, so
Fleck may be a good prospect irrespective of who was in his family....

Hello andy, you still there... Wink
