.... Wenger calls it a lack of respect for the opposition.
Could someone please tell me just what it was in arse's performance, or in
the way their players conducted themselves that night, or on many other
occasions, that commanded even a single iota of respect?
Their performance was appalling against our reserve midfield, they were
carded for diving, had a straight red for assault, were kicking and punching
Utd players off the ball and were otherwise attempting to injure our players
well before Nani started juggling the ball on his head.
And I genuinely don't see the problem with a bit of showboating, even if it
was done against Utd. If a player has the ball, what he does with it is up
to him. Henry never showboated?
If it is within the rules and it gains his side an advantage, well, that's
what he's being paid for. If it doesn't then that's to the advantage of the
opposition.
Nani was entertaining his own crowd at his home ground, arse's best revenge
would have been to try and take the ball off him and attempt a shot on
target, something the 'best attacking side in the Premiership' didn't
actually manage to achieve in 90 mins of football.
They did however manage 3 off-target attempts at the rate of one every half
an hour. No corners at all.
If Wenger thinks Nani was showing arse a lack of respect, he's probably
right, they got all they deserved.

Not professionally mate, no. But I did used to play at Highbury's training
ground every thursday night.
And like I said, Henry never showboated?
Why don't you just address my points instead of taking the lazy way out

What are your points ?
In relation to Nani he deserved to be taken out for showboating and I
hope he felt it.

Sorry, but the man makes a valid point, apart from Arsenal
not deserving respect, and even then they did get run off the
park, have a lout who shouldn't be at the club red carded, a
skipper very lucky not to get the same, and a player booked
for attempted cheating. A day best forgotten.
But what the hell is showboating? AW seems to know. You seem
to know. I certainly don't. So someone please explain what
level of ball control skills are acceptable and which are not?

I have no problem with 'showboating', but no matter what team you are
playing against, it's likely to lead to a stiff challenge. For that
reason alone I wouldn't want Arsenal players doing it.
As for a level of skill, the average 7 year old Brazilian is capable
of it. |

Ronaldo used to do it when he first came over if you remember ?
Mult-step overs, Nani was doing it with his head, known for pissing
opponents off big time.
The same thing applies to throwing "right crosses" in boxing, Ali did
it about 14 times to George Foreman to make him mad in Round 1.
Joe Cole does it a bit with step overs but then makes himself look a
jester when he does it and plays a square ball.
Georgie Best used to do it all the time. Which led to people going in
hard on him.

The 'man' posts here only to annoy people.
Not something you'd ever dream of doing, is it coco.
And no, my intention was not to annoy, but to express my utter disgust with
arsenal's contribution to the game at OT. I made a series of valid points,
so valid that no one has been able to counter them.
If you're annoyed, that's the only reason why.

As for a level of skill, the average 7 year old Brazilian is capable

Either the opponent finds it easy to take the ball from a showboater, in
which case it's pointless, or he doesn't, in which case the player involved
is gaining an advantage for his side.

LOL. Pretending to kf someone because they say things about your team that
you don't like. Incapable of mounting a defence you just run off screaming.
