I was just watching the highlights on mcfctv.com and they reminded me of
something odd. When Sturridge scored, only Neddy congratulated him, everyone
else just walked off. Now if that were a league match, there would have been
mass celebration. So, does this mean that a) nobody likes Sturridge or b)
nobody gave a toss about winning the game?

The team did have that "WTF are we doing here?" air about them on Sunday.

Bit worrying that.

I tend to think it was the latter.

There was no desire, drive passion at all - very flat.

I don't think we can underestimate the importance of tonight's match for the
season.Sven has already indicated on today's news bulletins that he expects
to see an improvement, apparently the team were upset after the Sheffield
game (and not just because they were burgled !)

We shall soon see if 'talk is cheap' and if they really have the desire to
play on cold midwinter premiership grounds !
Elano (taken off) et al ? we will be watching.

IMO 3 points against the bottom team (admittedly fired up with new owners)
should be a minimum requirement tonight if we have any aspirations of
remaining in the top 6.
