You can't help but notice there have been a lot of posts lately in our
footie newsgroups from yanks and ( even worse Mexicans ) about how:

- great they are

- how crap we are

- calling our great game of football - soccer yuck

- and how we are gay lords

do us all a favour and ignore these fucking idiots, if we all ignore them
they will get tired , maybe grow up and go away

when slinging muck just remember these are the people who invented the term
'friendly fire' for when you kill people on your side

now who is the stupid nation

We have this other sport (also called football) it is very popular here
so to avoid confusion we call it soccer. football is played but a bunch
of Neanderthals wearing body armor and tackling each other, talk about
gay:)

At least we addressed it as an issue. ya'll just ignore it as if it
never happens and hope somehow it will go away. Or maybe us yanks will
develop some more accurate weapons and sell them to you.

A word coined in the UK and not the US, and used anywhere they need to
differentiate between Association Football and the "flavour" of
football that happens to be that country's national sport. e.g. USA
and Australia.

To be fair, many years ago I used to be bothered by the word, but then
I found more important things to worry about.
