4th Place?

We're only 5 points behind Chelsea so lets go for 3rd place. Trouble is
in reality we will not finish in the top 4. We wont be allowed to
finish in the top 4

DM's said publicly that we can't catch Chelsea. At the time, I think
he was wanting to make a point to the club about the difference in
class between the two sides after the Carling Cup exit.
So, it's difficult to envisage him moving away from this tact when
he'll be appealing to the club to bring in (expensive) higher quality
players in the summer.

I believe it's too close to call on fourth place. I think now it's
between us and the RS - although we still need to play Villa at home -
and the derby is looking like make or break. I also can't help but
think that we'll be talking about the refereeing decisions in that
game rather than the football played.

As someone else posted earlier, the "Right Result" website makes
disturbing reading. We'd be third in the league, a point ahead of
Chelsea and a, frankly ridiculous, 12 points ahead of the RS.

5 points is nothing. And guess what, we've still to play them at
Goodison park. It could be "game on" on April 19th if we continue our
good form.
