I was wondering how transfers work as the players contract is
concerned. I read about transfers on wiki and about the transfer fee
and how part of that fee can go to the player. The question I have
would be is the transfer fee the money that the receiving team pays
for a player and then they have to sign that player to a contract?
Does the transfer fee include the player's contract in it? Has there
ever been a team that paid a transfer fee for a player that they could
not turn around and sign?
