He's far too lightweight. He ain't a winger, and he ain't a left-
sided striker - I don't know what he's supposed to be. I think he'll
be off in the summer. |

.... as an aside why do the BBC persist with using Lawro as a pundit and
commentator. He adds nothing except mindless rubbish like "he's working
really hard", "they need to keep there heads up" etc. etc. although
maybe that's better than his classic yesterday when he described the
middle of the Wigan pitch as looking like a 777 had belly flopped on to
it - I mean what sort of twat is he. |

Two incidents with Lawrenson summed him up yesterday. First of all when
Carvalho (sp?) was booked and he was asking why on earth was Carvalho
complaining ans then later on when Anelka scored he was asking why
Wigan were questionning the decision.
For the Carvalho one if he'd looked at it again he would have seen that
it was not even a foul let alone a yellow card. Carvalho had just put
in an excellent tackle
For the Anelka goal, he rightly concluded that he was onside after
watching it about three times in slow motion. It was close. So then he
has a go at Wigan for questionning it. Maybe he believes Wigan should
have watched the replays on the laptops that they carry round the pitch
with them
My problem is that I can't abide any of them particularly the ones who
have never had the guts to put their own reputations on the line as
managers and then go on to talk about the game as though they know it
all

Most of them I have no problem with - I even like Ian Wright just for
his sheer enthusiasm! - but Lawro seems to be so irritating and the
couple of the incidents you mentioned seem to sum him up i.e. just talks
bollox most of the time. Still can't beat Kevin Keegan's one during the
WC 94 in America (IIRC) when some one was smashed in the face with an
elbow and he kept insisting that he didn't look to bad to him right up
to the point they took him to hospital. |

And to make things worse, the main commentator is John Motson,I'd rather
watch in silence than listen to those two!
