Bad if we're left with Bassett but who would we be likely to get?

As we're merely a slightly better than average Third Division side don't
expect managers like Sam Allardyce to be ringing Mr Bates in Monaco
enquiring about the vacancy. Bates will no doubt let 'arry take over
team affairs for the time being to see how he gets on. Bates is a tight
fisted bugger so why pay someone else when you've already got an
experienced manager on the staff?

I think Wise has decided to move on because the team aren't progressing.
He says all the right things but can seem to get the players to play the
way he says he wants them to. His biggest problem as far as I'm
concerned is his lack of tact when he opens his mouth. His treatment of
Derry was poor man-management at best and some of his pronouncements
"We're a bigger club than Derby"; "Sullivan isn't good enough for
Leeds"; "The big crowd could phase Donny's players" and so on, shows
he's probably better in a role away from the press. Anyway, he's done
alright at Leeds given the circumstances, so good luck to him at
Tyneside, god knows he'll need it. :0)

The nearest you've ever come to a blow job is when you were sweeping up
clippings down at the barber's.
