Rumoured interest in a 1billion takeover offer from rival Chinese and
Dubai-based investment companies for Manchester United has forced the
club's owners, the Glazer family, to come out with a press statement
denying that the club is for sale.

The US-based Glazer family bought the club for 790m two years ago
amidst a storm of fan fury but have pacified the supporters with
substantial investment in new players and have been helped by the club
regaining the English Premier League trophy last season for the first
time in four years..........
