Jermaine Beckford is heading to Newcastle in a £2m deal. Not a huge surprise
following Dennis Wise. But a huge loss to Leeds.

well, it was a quote from the bbc live transfers page, i didn't know what to
make of it but it looked kosher.

It seems to be just a bit of gossip, either that or he's off in the summer.

Btw Scoopex seems to have
been chased out of here fttb. Didn't have you down as a closet metaphoid
fan Dan. Have to agree with you, meta's a Premier League troll, by
comparison Scoopex is definitely in the goalsposts for jumpers league. :0)

tbh, and not saying out of spite, i really do think he is highly disturbed
and very, very lonely.everybodys personality is completely the opposite in
real life as to thier personas on the internet, i believe he is a very shy
man and a sociopath and probably a nice bloke in reality, people usually act
out the charachter they want to be rather than the person they really are,
it's a trait that for myself stems from the days of cb radio in the eighties
when you "eyeballed" the person you spoke to for weeks and were taken aback
by the complete difference in them to the one you've struck up a
relationship with over the microphone, we all do it, myself i know am
different on here to the one my family and friends know, i know i'm a normal
family guy in reality who doesnt swear in front of his kids. but on here you
play out the person you are deep inside. apart from metaphoid obviously,
who's an irritating twat wherever he lays his hat.

I think perhaps £2.5m to £3m would be a better valuation, and would be
a good deal for us, we'd be able to strengthen. That money would help
us out a lot and would be a chunk more than we paid for him. Not sure
that he is the right choice for Newcastle or that he would do well
with the step up to Premier League from L1, but it doesn't bother me
if we get a good fee for him, more fool the Toon.

It's always the way when someone says something like the following you
can always guarantee the opposite will inevitably happen sooner rather
than later:

"What shirt am I wearing, bruv? You bein' serious?"
