This week's Classic UKSF Newsghey Thread caused me to ponder long and
hard. Would I go for the cheeky little 2005 , or the robust 2003? In
the end I went for the 2004 which is just exhibiting the right balance
of youthful exhuberance and thoughtful maturity. With just a whiff of
cuntiness. I, for one, cannot believe it is 3 years since this beauty.

What a year it's been. We've laughed... we've cried... we've jazz-
danced
naked on the deck of a ship for a small cash prize. Yeah, it's been
good.
And we've learned a lot of valuable lessons over the course of 2004,
too.
Not least the importance of a warm jacket and a good haircut.

But ultimately, 2004 is about the stuff we encountered over the last
twelve
months. So, in the first of a new and possibly annual tradition, this
is a list
of my favourite stuff in 2004. I like to call it "Mikey's Favourite
Stuff in 2004".
Feel free to construct your own lists of your favourite stuff. But
just make
sure the number of items in your list isn't evenly divisible by 5.
That would
be quite conformist.

Oh man, this brings back memories. 2004 was the year I finished
college and these songs make me recall a lot of very good times.
CUNTs has excelled itself this week.

Still one of my top ten favourite songs ever, btw.

These are all pretty great choices. "Mikey's Favourite Stuff in 2004" is
one of the very, very few UKSF posts I don't regret writing.

To say I was giving the fans some amazing television tips long before a lot
of this stuff became popular would be a massive understatement. These
are unbelievably good choices. I still recommend all of them, btw.

This remains one of my favourite albums ever. I love it like the son I've
never had.

This edition of CUNTs has made me all misty-eyed. Good work, Martin,
good work.
