I've also noticed that his hold up play seems to be improving also.
Whether this is a result of sitting on the bench or just him maturing as
a player, it is all the same good to see. People sometimes forget that
Boyd is still a young player and is still learning his trade.

All this playing for the jersey is old hat, might have been true 20 years
ago....players play for the jersey until they get a better pay deal
elsewhere then they play for that jersey!

What worries me is that the rumours about Kenny Miller returning just won't
go away. It's hard to imagine Walter losing the fans - but re-signing that
useless waste of space could do it - particularly if it meant that Boyd
still spends most games on the bench while Miller played.
PBs point about Boyd still being a young player is a good one - but you
can't say the same for Miller. Boyd has room for improvement ( a lot of room
for improvement) Miller doesn't. Miller was as good as he got at Hibs.
I'm not Boyd's biggest fan but I will admit that when he plays you always
have the feeling that there's a goal to be had. |

Maybe Boyd can be looked at the same way Celtic fans looked at John
Hartson....they just don't look like football players, but they score
goals...I think you would do well to get Kenny Miller too, although
not too sure if Smith would want to play two up front, although given
Miller doesn't score too often maybe you could class him as a
midfielder... |

Fair point ZB. I suppose you could also put it in terms of what medals
they have both won in their careers. And before you say Boyd aint won
anything with Rangers (ffs how long has it been since they actually
won something...2005?), Kris must have picked up a few trophies with
the Boys Brigade... |

And he did eventually score against us after about 93 games. Games against
East Stirling best suit his style.
Hartson hammered them home against the huns regularly. |

Hartson did score alot against them. But maybe Boyd's time will come
if his team have changed their system to 4-4-2 away from a more
defensive line up with one attacker. I actually feel kinda sorry for
Boyd since he scores goals but his team seems more interested in
trying not to conceed goals rather than score them.
