All
I have been getting an increasing number of requests recently for people
wanting to be added to the soc.culture.scottish FAQ and other pages at
siliconglen.com
In order to accommodate this, I have now created a contact form for this
purpose:
http://www.siliconglen.com/contactus.html
As always, since 1994 when I started publishing the FAQ, basic links to
quality, related sites will be free.
However, optimised links with linking text can't be auto generated from
the text version of the FAQ and an increasing number of people are
needing this for Search Engine Optimisation purposes. Also, any graphics
requests add to my bandwidth, so both of these are chargeable but very
low cost.
With the bulk of the site being from PR4 to PR6 in Google, a link from
the site to a related site can help your SEO effort, which is perhaps
why I've been getting all these requests.
I can also add value to the paid searches by building reports on when
someone sees a broken link pointing to your site and how many
click-throughs you get.
thanks
Craig
