Some valid points raised about the ridiculousness of it all...
"Why should Rangers fans mocking Catholics be worse than SouthPark mocking
Scientologists?"
"Football matches have traditionally been a place to let off steam and
stadiums should be cauldrons of emotion - that means hate as well as love.
If you ban Sectarian or racist chants then why not the word cunt? Plenty of
people find that offensive. Or do you want football played in front of
obedient dummies? Kick censorship out of football."

I think if it was only mocking it wouldn't be so frowned upon.

Where will it all stop? Will football eventually end up with chants of
"good show" and "bravo!". As the quote above says, football is as much
about hate as it is about love. I hate getting beat, i hate my teams rivals
winning. I don't necessarily hate rival fans, just when they get bragging
rights and abuse them. ;-P

What a load of bollocks! I'm all for rivalry, but to say that huns
discriminating against Catholics is any more acceptable than tims
discriminating against Protestants is ridiculous. There are still plenty of
places in Scptland where you will not be employed based on your religion
(which people assume based on your surname). That is taking rivalry into the
domain of bigotry and haterd which is completely unacceptable.
Great idea, let's allow racism and sectarian chants in football because
football is supposed to be emotional. That is one of the most ridiculous
comments I have ever heard.

Angof maybe you would like to have a word on this as Zebhoy has just
proved that Hun means Protestant and thinks Tim means Catholic or is
just another clown thinking that only Celtic supporters abuse
protestants?

The occasional decent post (northbriton) but most (vivalatrav, chronos etc)
of it is just bigots trying to justify their bile.
Sectarianism I hadn't realised that there was still such a huge problem down south. makes the FA seem archaic by comparison to our lot.
Celtic and Sectarianism... I was extremely disappointed to learn that, according to the STV News tonight, Celtic are to be investigated for sectarianism. Apparently one fan was arrested by the police for sectarian behaviour and STV suggest that others joined in singing. STV played
